Mihai Popescu, also known by his aliases MP, Aquaphresca, and Schroepfer Pollet, is a Romanian producer and DJ from Craiova, currently based in the United Kingdom. He is recognized on the international electronic music scene for his sophisticated house style, with refined influences from Detroit techno and British tech-house, which have shaped his unique sound identity.

Active since the early 2010s, Mihai Popescu quickly stood out as a distinctive voice in the Romanian and European underground scene. Throughout his career, he has released music under various aliases and has owned several record labels, each with a clearly defined artistic profile: Soulsity, Aquaphresca, and Schroepfer Pollet — platforms through which he has nurtured his creative freedom and supported an international community of artists close to his musical aesthetics.

Soulsity, his first personal label, quickly became a reference point for lovers of intelligent and subtle house music. Later, the projects Aquaphresca and Schroepfer Pollet allowed him to experiment even further with rhythmic structures and the textural palette of his productions.

In the 2020s, Mihai further solidified his artistic vision by founding a new record label, Provincha, dedicated to intimate and sophisticated sonic explorations. The first EP released under this label, titled Provincha, is an ode to everyday life and the provincial atmosphere, with four tracks that capture the subtle moments of an ordinary day.
